    Hi
    Please, can someone help me with this?
    I am trying to figure out how deep under the water must be the propeller of an outboard motor in a Edel 4. Some people say 5 cm under water is enough other say it should be deep enough to clear out the hull.
    I am not sure if my boat is meant for long or short-shaft because the distance from the clamps to the water is only 32 cm.

    For an Edel4 it’s recommended to install a long shaft or you can also install a short but in this case you will need to modify the engyne bracket (cf to this article: Link to the articleLink)
